CYA was started in 1996 to help people help themselves! We provide clients with high-quality executive coaching and training in personal mastery leadership, organizational effectiveness, and operational efficiency for the greatest impact and benefit to themselves, their organizations, and to others.  We respond rapidly to help you resolve issues and solve problems. Our purpose is IMPROVEMENT!

OUR APPROACH

Our service includes a comprehensive assessment of your talents and the development of a Greatness Plan Strategy (GPS). We use a Systems Thinking approach that focuses on 4 major areas (4): Leadership, Planning, Teaming and Valuing, and Continuous Quality Improvement (data collection, analysis, project management, and process improvement). Our efforts result in you learning and applying a variety of industry-standard tools and techniques, such as the SWOT, Flowchart, etc., combined with a variety of tried and true creative tools to ensure your company's sustainability.

That way, you can effectively apply continuous improvement tools and techniques for long-term sustainability. Our techniques are easy to implement. They are complementary to what you are already doing. We offer opportunities for open dialogue and all information is kept confidential.

CYA was founded in 1996 by Dr. Yvonne Simmons Howze. The company is named after Yvonne's two oldest grandsons, Christopher and Andrew in combination with her name. Dr. Howze served on several local and national non-profit Board of Directors’, and found that a missing element for non-profits to access private and governmental grants was a lack of evaluative data to determine and validate their level of success. In other words, the organizations were doing excellent work but fell short of being able to prove it. She founded CYA on that premise--to prove and to improve!

Today, CYA has expanded to work with governmental entities, educational and healthcare systems, and small businesses, especially start-ups. Introducing a conceptual framework and a variety of continuous improvement tools drives results, and propels an organization to a level of success far beyond their current status. When difficult issues and problems surface, CYA is readily available to assist with resolutions and solutions.

Yvonne is a Vanderbilt alum, having received her doctorate in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a Master Trainer in Performance Excellence, with certifications from the American Society for Quality in Management and Operational Excellence, and from Gallup as a Strengths Finder Coach.

Dr. Howze is a Kellogg National Leadership Fellow. She has studied leadership all over the world and is a nationally acclaimed speaker on leadership and operational excellence. She is repeatedly contacted for advice and organizational remedies, and more than 2700 people from healthcare, education, government, and business entities have graduated from 'HOWZE University'. Of those who participated in her training, approximately, 96% have either been promoted to a higher-paying job, advanced in their careers, found a new career path, or started their own companies.
